Akwanga-Jos Road Project to Get CCTV, Police Posts and Trauma Clinics

The ongoing Akwanga-Jos road reconstruction will include round-the-clock CCTV surveillance, street lighting, police outposts and emergency trauma clinics, according to APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda. Speaking during an inspection of the project, Yilwatda said the security features are intended to protect travellers, monitor crime and support faster emergency responses along the corridor linking Nasarawa and Plateau states. The project team said heavy equipment has been deployed to the Jos axis. It expects to complete 10 kilometres of road formation before Christmas and deliver another 30 kilometres next year.
