Zamfara Hisbah Arrests 17 in Gusau Hotel Raids, Refers Case to Sharia Court
The Zamfara State Hisbah Commission says it arrested 12 women and five men during raids on three hotels in Gusau over alleged immoral activities. The commission said the hotels were suspected of hosting activities it considers contrary to Sharia. The raids were carried out at Lumana Hotel, Dtravelers Hotel and Meravela Hotel. Hisbah officials said the suspects would be referred to the Sharia Court for further legal action. The commission also warned hotel operators against allowing their premises to be used for activities it considers immoral.
