Trump Says US Will Seek Quick End to Iran and Ukraine Conflicts
US President Donald Trump says he expects the conflicts involving Iran and Russia’s war in Ukraine to be resolved soon, or for the United States to prevail. Speaking at a rally in Syracuse, New York, Trump repeated his warning to Tehran and said Washington would pursue a settlement by any means it considers necessary. The US and Iran remain divided over issues including sanctions, Iran’s nuclear programme and the Strait of Hormuz. His comments came as diplomatic efforts continue and tensions persist over Washington’s temporary easing of sanctions on Russian diesel exports. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and some US lawmakers criticised the move, saying it could provide Russia with additional revenue during the war.
