Umahi Inspects Carter Bridge Works and Lagos-Calabar Highway Sections
Minister of Works Dave Umahi has inspected construction work on the new Carter Bridge in Lagos. He met with engineers, ministry officials and contractors to review progress and the technical processes being used at the site. Umahi said the project must meet required construction standards and quality specifications. He also urged motorists to drive carefully around the construction zone. The minister later visited sections of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, where he assessed ongoing work and areas reportedly damaged by vandals. The inspection formed part of the Federal Government’s monitoring of major road projects in Lagos.
