Crayon Threatens to Quit Mavin Records, Calls Out Don Jazzy and Tega in Fiery Rant
Crayon took to X on Sunday night to lash out at Mavin Records leadership. In a series of tweets, the 28-year-old singer-songwriter Charles Chibueze Chukwu alternated between friendly banter and fierce attacks. He first shouted “Don Jazzy na my boy! Una dey madddd!!” before branding chief operating officer Tega Oghenejobo “the highest criminal.” Declaring “Mavin is going down,” Crayon warned he would no longer collaborate with label mate Rema and accused the label of stealing his star. He hinted his account might be hacked but has been active on Instagram without raising any alarm about a breach. He then promoted his new imprint, Olodum Entertainment, sharing its booking email and calling for “weird creatives” to design its flag with a 500 million-naira reward. His latest single “Baami” now appears under Olodum’s banner, with no visible Mavin branding. Mavin Records and its executives have yet to respond.
