Gunmen Kill Man, Abduct Wives of Fulani Leader in Kwara

Suspected bandits attacked a Fulani settlement in Lafiagi, Edu Local Government Area, on Monday night. They killed one man and abducted two women, aged 25 and 35, who are wives of the Seriki Fulani. Kwara State Police Commissioner Adekimi Ojo said the gunmen specifically targeted the community leader, known as Ardo. Troops repelled the attackers before they fled into the forest, and police are now tracking them. The raid began around 8pm in the Sodo/Sawmill area on the town’s outskirts. Residents fled in panic as the assailants opened fire. Security forces have intensified patrols to prevent further attacks.
