Kano Residents Reject Alleged ₦10m Bribe Over Suspected Drug-Laden Vehicle
Residents of Bajallabe near the FCE Gate 1 area of Kano reportedly rejected an alleged ₦10 million offer to conceal a suspicious vehicle and its contents. The vehicle, a Golf car parked near a residential building, was reportedly found with materials suspected to be illicit substances. Community representatives and vigilante personnel reportedly refused the offer and alerted the Kano State Multi-Agency Task Force on Drug Abuse and Illicit Substances, as well as the police. Officers from the Rijiyar Zaki Division took the vehicle and individuals involved into custody for investigation. The task force said the recovered materials have not yet been conclusively identified as drugs and may require laboratory examination. It added that the property linked to the discovery would be sealed in line with a Kano State executive order.
