Nigerian Tech Recruiter Arrested in Canada Over Alleged Human Trafficking Offences

Canadian police have arrested Ebunoluwa Tomiwa, a 33-year-old Nigerian tech recruiter, over allegations of human trafficking and related offences. Police said Tomiwa, who is also known as Boon, turned himself in hours after he was declared wanted. He is expected to appear in court for a bail hearing. He faces charges including trafficking in persons, procuring sexual services, benefiting materially from trafficking and withholding documents. Investigators believe there may be other victims and have asked anyone with relevant information to contact them.
