If Nigerian Faith Leaders Formed a Cabinet, Who Would You Appoint?
Imagine Nigeria’s government was made up of influential fathers and mothers of faith. This is only a thought experiment, not a call for pastors to leave the pulpit for political office. The proposed cabinet places Bishop David Oyedepo as president, Pastor E. A. Adeboye as party leader, Pastor William Kumuyi as Attorney General, Pastor Funke Felix-Adejumo as Minister of Women Affairs, and Pastor Chris Oyakhilome as Minister of Science and Technology, among others. The bigger question is about leadership: should competence, character, vision and accountability matter more than personal connections when public positions are shared? Who would make your own cabinet, and what role would you give them?
