Los Angeles Podcaster Arrested Over Alleged Threats Against Trump
Federal authorities have arrested Los Angeles podcaster Azariah Southworth over allegations that he threatened to kill US President Donald Trump and stalked the president’s personal lawyer and the lawyer’s family. Prosecutors allege that Southworth made repeated threats through social-media posts and private messages, including videos calling for violence against Trump. He is also accused of posting the lawyer’s home address and photograph of the residence, contacting family members, and sharing their phone numbers online. Southworth faces federal charges of threatening the president, cyberstalking and making harassing interstate telephone calls. If convicted on all counts, he could face up to 12 years in prison.
