APC Youth Wing Rift: Alleged Push to Remove Dayo Israel Sparks Funding Claims
An alleged internal dispute is brewing in the APC youth wing after sources claimed that state and senatorial youth leaders were summoned to Abuja for a meeting on 26 October 2026. The meeting was reportedly linked to a push for a vote of no confidence in National Youth Leader Dayo Israel. The sources alleged that participants were promised funds of ₦30 million for state youth leaders and ₦5 million for senatorial youth leaders every three weeks during the campaign period. They claimed the funds were conditional on organising a press conference, gathering signatures and demanding Israel’s removal. These claims have not been independently verified. A commentator said the dispute appears rooted in competing loyalties between the party’s youth structure and the City Boy movement. He urged party elders to intervene, warning that replacing one leader without resolving the underlying conflict could deepen divisions.
