2027: ADC Says It Can Defeat Tinubu Without an Opposition Coalition

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) says it does not need an opposition coalition to defeat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election. The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, said ADC was confident its candidate, Atiku Abubakar, could win nationwide support without relying on a united opposition ticket. He said a coalition could make the party’s campaign easier but was not essential. Abdullahi said the party remains open to cooperation with other opposition parties, particularly on election monitoring and protecting votes. He also said ADC is ready to debate the APC over its proposal to restore fuel subsidy.
