Boko Haram Militants Attack Kautikari Village in Chibok, Set Homes Ablaze
On Thursday evening, suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP fighters stormed Kautikari village in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State. They opened fire and torched residences, forcing many villagers to flee into the bush for safety. Witnesses say the assailants looted food supplies and livestock before moving on. A security officer familiar with the community confirmed the assault but could not yet report casualty figures. This community had only just resettled after a March attack that claimed the life of Hunters commander Mallam Bumto and several residents. The fresh violence has once again displaced scores of families.
