Man Arrested in Florida After Police Allege Meth, Cocaine and Firearm Found in Car
A 46-year-old Brooklyn man was arrested in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, after police said officers found suspected narcotics, cash and a firearm in a vehicle. Police said a K-9 search during a September 3 traffic stop led officers to more than 17 grams of methamphetamine and about three grams of crack cocaine. Investigators also reported finding a digital scale, $3,515 in cash, a loaded handgun with an altered serial number and an allegedly fraudulent driver’s licence. Authorities alleged that the man and the vehicle’s driver were working together to traffic narcotics. He was charged with methamphetamine trafficking, drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, and was released on bail.
