Malawi Police Arrest Man Over Alleged Fatal Stabbing Linked to Relationship Dispute

Police in Mzuzu, Malawi, have arrested 30-year-old Elias Chisale over the alleged stabbing death of 23-year-old Aaron Odeni during a dispute involving a woman they were both said to be dating. Police said the incident occurred on September 13 at Malivenji Trading Centre. Odeni was reportedly speaking with the woman in an unfinished building when Chisale arrived and an argument followed. Chisale allegedly stabbed Odeni, who died at the scene. The woman was also injured and is receiving treatment at Mzuzu Central Hospital. Police said the suspect will face charges including murder and causing grievous harm.
