How to Stay Relevant in the AI Era: Build Skills Beyond One Role
Many people fear that AI will take their jobs and make them less useful. I see it differently: AI can free us from repetitive work and give us more room to think creatively, solve problems, lead and build. My view is that relying on only one narrow skill makes a person more vulnerable to automation. The goal is not to abandon your core strength, but to build useful layers around it. A graphic designer, for example, can also learn sales, branding, communication, marketing, negotiation and leadership. I believe the people who will thrive over the next five years will combine deep expertise in one area with broad practical knowledge in others. Use AI as a tool to learn faster, improve your output and turn your experience into better solutions. Do not stay stagnant or define yourself by one task alone. Build a core skill, add complementary skills and develop the judgment that helps you direct AI rather than compete with it.
