Father Demands Answers as Army Stays Silent on Son’s Death in Oyo School Rescue
The family of Lieutenant Felix Ademe Isaac has accused the Nigerian Army and Oyo State Government of failing to explain how he died during the mission to rescue pupils and teachers abducted in Oriire Local Government Area. Conflicting reports claim his convoy hit explosives in the National Park or that he stepped on a landmine allegedly planted by Ansaru fighters. The family says they received no formal briefing and only learned of his death through unofficial channels. His father, Isaac Alabura, who described his son as the hope of their community, appealed for official support and recognition. Lieutenant Isaac was buried with full military honours in Adamawa State, and the family has called on the authorities to immortalise his sacrifice and assist those he left behind.
