Ile-Ife NURTW Leaders Condemn Killing of Emir Ajagungbade
Transport union leaders in Ile-Ife, Osun State, have condemned the killing of Olalekan Oyeyemi, popularly known as Emir Ajagungbade. Reports say Oyeyemi was killed during a dispute connected to the control and management of a motor park in the city. The precise circumstances and roles of those involved are yet to be confirmed by investigators. Governor Ademola Adeleke has directed security agencies to investigate the incident, arrest those responsible and restore peace in affected motor parks. He also said Osun State plans to reintroduce a Park Management System to address disputes over park and garage administration.
