Nwifuru Threatens to Sack Ebonyi LG Chairmen Who Fail to Deliver APC in 2027

Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru has said any local government chairman who fails to deliver their council area for the All Progressives Congress in the 2027 elections will be removed and replaced by a councillor. The governor made the statement in Abakaliki while inaugurating the chairmen and vice chairmen of the state’s 13 local government areas. He urged the chairmen to prevent opposition parties from gaining ground and to work towards a 100 per cent APC victory in the state. Nwifuru also told vice chairmen to cooperate with their chairmen and avoid rivalry. The newly inaugurated chairmen pledged to justify the confidence placed in them and work for an APC landslide in 2027.
