Police Arrest Suspect in Makurdi Double Murder of Professor and Brother

The Benue State Police Command has arrested a suspect in the killing of Prof Gabriel Saawua Nyityo and his 19-year-old brother, Iorngee John Nyityo. Their bodies were found on Wednesday at the family home in Adaka, Makurdi. The professor taught history at Moses Orshio Adasu University, and an ASUU leader said the gunmen entered through a window before opening fire. Police sources say operatives from the Delta Patrol Team and Operation Python responded to a distress call. One male suspect from Awe LGA in Nasarawa State is in custody, and investigations continue to identify and arrest other perpetrators. Further updates will be released as the case develops.
