Anambra Police Warn Against Fundraising to Free Woman Accused of Exploiting Her Daughter
The Anambra State Police Command says it will not tolerate any attempt to raise funds or influence the release of a 36-year-old woman accused of exploiting her seven-year-old daughter to produce adult material. Police spokesperson Tochukwu Ikenga said investigators identified online comments suggesting that some people were planning to contribute money to secure the suspect’s release. He said the comments are now part of the investigation and may help identify other people linked to the alleged crime. The command said the case may involve a wider syndicate and that it could work with international law-enforcement agencies if necessary. The suspect was arrested in Onitsha and remains under investigation.
