Two Arrested Over Murder of Former World Boxing Champion Zolani Tete

South African police have arrested two suspects over the killing of former world boxing champion Zolani Tete in Mdantsane, Eastern Cape. The suspects, aged 30 and 22, were arrested in KuGompo after an intelligence-led operation. They are also being questioned over the attempted murder of a 27-year-old woman wounded in the attack. Police said Tete, 38, had arrived at a home in NU17 when two armed men in balaclavas allegedly emerged from a vehicle and opened fire. He died at the scene, while the woman was injured. Investigators say more arrests may follow. The motive has not been disclosed, and police have urged the public not to circulate unverified claims about the case.
