AY Amazed After Taking a Driverless Uber Ride in the US
Nigerian comedian AY has shared his first experience using a self-driving Uber in the United States. In a video, he expressed surprise as the vehicle took him to his destination without a driver. He said he unlocked the car and started the trip with his phone. AY also compared the technology with everyday realities in Africa, saying more effort should go into innovations that improve people’s lives. Autonomous ride-hailing services are already operating in selected US cities, while Uber and Bolt rides in Nigeria still rely on human drivers.
