Anambra Woman Reportedly Reappears in Court After Five Years in Detention

Onyeaka Ozioma Elizabeth, an Anambra woman, was reportedly seen at the Federal High Court in Abuja after more than five years in detention. Her lawyer alleges that DSS operatives arrested her in Onitsha and that she was held without contact with her family, legal access or a clear explanation of the allegations against her. The report claims that her family had believed she was dead until they were contacted after her court appearance. It also alleges that she was moved through detention facilities in Niger State and Abuja before being brought to court. The case raises serious questions about prolonged detention, access to legal representation and due process. The allegations against the DSS and military authorities require an official response and independent scrutiny.
