How Ibusa Produced Three Nigerian Reality-TV Champions in 19 Years
Ibusa, an Anioma community in Delta State, is celebrating after Temitope Nkem Chigbue won Big Brother Naija on October 4, 2026. She polled 25.87 per cent of the final votes, ahead of Aikou with 23.68 per cent and Sheba with 9.80 per cent. Her victory adds to Ibusa’s unusual record in Nigerian reality television. Dominic Mudabai won Gulder Ultimate Search in 2007, while Uche Nwaezeapu won the competition in 2009 after years of unsuccessful auditions. The three victories, spread across 19 years and two major reality-TV franchises, have put fresh attention on the community’s talent, resilience and strong sense of identity.
