Overnight Russian Drone and Missile Strikes Kill Seven Across Ukraine
At least seven people died after overnight Russian attacks hit multiple Ukrainian cities. Five were killed in Dnipro when an apartment block was struck. President Zelensky said the barrage lasted almost all night. Rescue teams continued searching for survivors under the rubble. British jets were scrambled from Romania when Russian drones approached the border. The UK Ministry of Defence later clarified that its aircraft did not engage any targets. Ukraine also launched long-range drone strikes deep into Russian territory. In Yekaterinburg, a building strike injured six people, and drones near Chelyabinsk were intercepted. Other strikes hit Chernihiv, Odesa and Kharkiv, but Ukrainian defences repelled most of the more than 600 incoming drones.
