Kaduna Community Rejects Nigerian Army’s Claim of Rescuing 31 Easter Abductees
The Kuturmi Unity Development Association (KUDA) has dismissed reports that the Nigerian Army rescued 31 worshippers abducted during Easter service in Ariko, Kachia LGA. Bandits attacked two churches, killed several worshippers and took others captive on Easter Sunday. In a statement, KUDA president Dr. Joseph David Ariko said all abductees remain with their captors. Families and victim representatives are still in direct contact with the bandits, who confirmed the victims’ presence in their camp. While KUDA appreciates security efforts, it warned that false reports sow confusion and erode public trust. The association urged authorities to share only verified information and pledged to update the public as credible news emerges.
