South West Generated 57% of Nigeria’s ₦3.78tn VAT in H1 2026
Nigeria generated ₦3.78 trillion in VAT between January and June 2026, according to FAAC data shared by a data analytics source. The South West accounted for ₦2.158 trillion, or 57.1% of the national total. The South South followed with ₦880.59 billion (23.3%), while North Central generated ₦302.80 billion (8.0%). North West recorded ₦205.51 billion (5.4%) and North East generated ₦152.81 billion (4.0%). The South East had the lowest contribution at ₦79.27 billion, representing 2.1% of total VAT generated.
