University of East London Awards Honorary Doctorate to Enugu Governor Peter Mbah
The University of East London has awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree to Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah, recognising his career in law, business and public service. Mbah studied law at the institution from 1997 to 2000. The university highlighted his student leadership roles, including serving as president of the Students’ Law Society, as well as his later work as an entrepreneur and governor. In his acceptance speech, Mbah said he believes in disruptive innovation, purposeful service and education as a tool for expanding opportunities. He said Enugu State is allocating 33 per cent of its budget to education, including schools, technology hubs and skills development for young people.
