Adamawa Police Arrest Teacher Over Alleged Sexual Assault of 10-Year-Old Girl

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a 54-year-old primary school teacher in Damare, Yola South Local Government Area, over the alleged sexual assault of a 10-year-old girl. Police said the girl's family reported the matter at the Yola South Divisional Police Headquarters. The child has been taken to hospital for medical examination. The Commissioner of Police has directed the State Criminal Investigation Department in Yola to take over the case for further investigation and possible prosecution. Residents were urged to report suspected cases of abuse promptly.
