Anambra South Candidate Onunkwo Says He Will Not Clash With Soludo Over Politics

Anambra South senatorial candidate Ebuka Onunkwo says he will not engage Governor Chukwuma Soludo in a political confrontation, describing the governor as his elder brother. Onunkwo spoke at Nanka’s New Yam Festival after Soludo reportedly advised him to focus on his business rather than politics. The remarks followed the commissioning of a 1.03-kilometre road project that Onunkwo was said to have supported with a ₦170 million loan. Although they are now in different parties, Onunkwo said his focus is on the coming senatorial election. He said voters would decide who is best placed to represent Anambra South in the Senate. Onunkwo previously worked on campaign councils for both Senator Emmanuel Nwachukwu and Governor Soludo before moving to the NDC after failing to secure the APGA senatorial ticket.
