Edo Police Recover Two Kidnap Victims’ Bodies, Arrest Suspect in Ovia North-East
The Edo State Police Command has recovered two bodies of women who were abducted in Iyowa Community, Ovia North-East LGA. One of the victims, Mrs. Favour Nosakhare (66), has been formally identified by her family. A 23-year-old suspect, Musa Haruna, was arrested after a confrontation with police operatives. Officers recovered a blood-soaked jacket and spent ammunition, and he led them to shallow graves where the remains were found. The three women were kidnapped on May 9 and were shown in a video call being tortured while their captors demanded ransom. Investigations are ongoing to arrest the remaining syndicate members. The Commissioner of Police appeals to the public to provide credible information to aid the probe.
