Former Borno Central Senator Kaka Mallam Yale Dies at 73
Former Borno Central senator Kaka Mallam Yale has died at the age of 73. He reportedly died on Friday while receiving treatment at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital. His son confirmed the death. Yale was born in Konduga, Borno State, in January 1953 and studied Public Administration and Political Science at the University of Maiduguri. Before serving in the Senate, he was chairman of Konduga Local Government and held several positions in the Borno State Government, including Commissioner for Education. He represented Borno Central in the Senate on the platform of the All Nigeria Peoples Party from 2007 to 2011. He remained active in public affairs after leaving the Senate, including chairing a 2020 committee set up to verify local government workers in Borno. The family is expected to announce burial arrangements.
