Judge Says Rick Ross Will Be Treated Like Everyone Else in Bond Hearing

Rapper Rick Ross, whose legal name is William Leonard Roberts, appeared before a Miami-Dade bond court after being accused of domestic violence battery by strangulation. A former girlfriend alleged that he assaulted her during an early-morning incident last month. Ross reportedly arranged to surrender to Miami Beach police through his lawyer before being taken into custody. His lawyer sought consideration for his celebrity status, but Judge Mindy Glazer said she did not know him and would treat him fairly like any other defendant. He was ordered to avoid the alleged victim and granted bail of $5,000.
