Ondo Pastor’s Son Freed: 9-Year-Old Regains Freedom After Three-Week Abduction Ordeal
A nine-year-old boy, Victor Oluwatobi, son of a local pastor in Idogun, Ose LGA, Ondo State, has been safely rescued after spending three weeks in captivity. He was abducted on the night of June 5 when armed men stormed Ugbosi Quarters and destroyed buildings to seize a landlord who escaped. The Ondo State Government mobilised a joint operation with the Nigerian Army, Police, Amotekun Corps, and local vigilante groups. Teams conducted extensive searches across forests and surrounding communities in a determined effort to secure Victor’s release. On Sunday, June 21, security operatives rescued the boy unharmed and reunited him with his family. The state’s Commissioner for Information praised all security agencies and individuals who contributed to the successful operation.
