Falana Criticises NBA for Inviting VeryDarkMan as Conference Panelist

Senior Advocate of Nigeria Femi Falana has criticised the Nigerian Bar Association for inviting social media critic Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, to speak at its annual conference. VeryDarkMan joined a panel on insecurity, where he shared experiences from visiting communities affected by killings and attacks. Falana argued that discussions on national security should feature people with proven expertise and contributions to Nigeria’s security architecture. He said NBA conferences should prioritise practitioners, academics and other qualified experts who can engage lawyers intellectually, rather than personalities he believes lack relevant professional experience.
