Has Modern Life Changed Dating and Marriage Expectations?

I think modern life has changed the way many people approach dating, marriage and family. More people are reaching their mid-30s without a long-term partner, while financial independence, travel and personal goals now shape relationship choices. In my view, men and women may respond differently to financial stability. Some men see income as a reason to start a family, while some women may prioritise personal growth and independence. I also believe unemployment and economic pressure make it harder for many men to feel ready for marriage. Another concern is that some men now fear being mocked or labelled negatively when they approach women. This may be making dating more difficult for both sides. I worry about the effects of people marrying later, although the issue is not limited to Nigeria and may have both benefits and disadvantages, including lower population growth.
