Nollywood actress and AAC governorship candidate for Abia State, Doris Ogala, has caused a stir after telling residents in a TikTok Live session that they “have no choice” but to elect her as governor. In the viral clip, she declared, “I, Doris Ogala, as your governor, you don’t have choice. God has said it, so shall it be.” Ogala won the AAC ticket for the 2027 race and has vowed to unseat incumbent Alex Otti by prioritising welfare, job creation and economic growth. Before entering politics, she built her career in Nollywood and became active in political advocacy. In June 2026, she was hospitalised after collapsing during a political meeting and later visited patients from a wheelchair, sparking mixed reactions.
