UK Court Jails 10 Men for 130 Years Over Revenge Arson Attack
A UK court has sentenced 10 men to combined prison terms of about 130 years over a revenge arson attack on a home in Stoke-on-Trent. The attackers smashed windows, poured petrol into the property and started a fire after an earlier street fight. A woman and her 13-year-old daughter escaped by jumping from an upstairs window. The woman suffered severe burns and other serious injuries, while the girl sustained burns that required skin grafts. The court heard that the intended target was not at the home when the attack took place. The longest sentence was 34 years. The judge described the attack as a deliberate and horrific act of revenge.
