Two Nigerian Women Arrested in Delhi Over Alleged ₦2.86bn Cocaine Seizure

Delhi Police have arrested two Nigerian women after allegedly recovering more than 2kg of cocaine, valued at about ₹20 crore (roughly ₦2.86 billion), at Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station. The suspects, identified as Chikanso James, 43, and Happiness Okoye, 41, were reportedly stopped during a July 31 anti-narcotics patrol at Platform 1. Officers said 11 packets of cocaine were recovered from one of the women. Police believe the seizure may have disrupted a drug supply route between Mumbai and Delhi-NCR. Investigators are tracing the source of the drugs, financial transactions and possible links to a wider interstate narcotics network. One suspect has been remanded in custody, while both passports were seized.
