Inside Hamzat’s Lagos Promise: 7 Pillars, 100 Pledges and What They Mean
Obafemi Hamzat’s proposed Lagos governorship programme, known as The Lagos Promise, is built around seven pillars, 31 chapters and 100 pledges. The plan is intended to guide his administration if he wins the 2027 election, with a HAMZAT Compact designed to help residents track delivery. The agenda covers electricity, transport, food distribution, housing, support for businesses, public safety and government accountability. Key proposals include 500 megawatts of additional embedded power, a food logistics hub, a farmers’ guarantee scheme, improved rail and water transport, and more affordable housing options. Hamzat says 87 pledges would be directly within a governor’s control, while 13 depend on federal approval or court decisions. The full manifesto is due on 30 October 2026, when residents can examine the costs, timelines, locations and agencies responsible for each commitment.
