JAMB Restores CAPS, Sets 2026/2027 Admission Deadlines

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has restored its Central Admissions Processing System after a temporary disruption. JAMB said CAPS is now available to candidates and tertiary institutions taking part in the 2026/2027 admission exercise. Institutions have been asked to speed up their admission processes to recover lost time. Public universities must conclude admissions by 31 October 2026. Private universities have until 30 November, while other tertiary institutions have until 31 December 2026. Candidates who receive offers should accept them promptly on CAPS. Those awaiting their NECO results should upload or verify them immediately to ensure their credentials can be considered.
