EFCC Receives Petition Seeking Revival of 2006 Allegations Against Atiku
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has received a petition asking it to revisit allegations involving former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. Former House of Representatives member Ehiozuwa Johnson Agbonayinma said the petition urges the commission to review its 2006 report and a 2010 United States Senate subcommittee report. He said he appeared before EFCC investigators in Abuja to adopt the petition and answer questions. The petition seeks renewed action over the allegations, but the EFCC had not publicly confirmed that a formal investigation had been reopened as of the time of the report.
