Ogun Begins Strategic Foresight Training for Political Leaders and Senior Civil Servants
Ogun State has begun a three-day strategic foresight training for political leaders and senior public servants at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies’ governance school in Ago-Iwoye. Governor Dapo Abiodun said long-term planning is needed to help the state prepare for emerging risks and opportunities. He said policymakers should consider future skills needs, industrial growth, infrastructure, healthcare, housing and employment. The programme will train participants to identify trends, assess risks and build long-term thinking into government policies, budgets and development plans. Participants include commissioners, permanent secretaries, directors and other senior state officials.
