Second Teacher Killed in Oriire School Abduction, Makinde Confirms

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has announced that another kidnapped teacher has been killed by his captors. John Olaleye lost his life during the first Sunday of June while in captivity. The principal said the abductors carried out the murder after the government failed to meet their demands. This brings the total number of teachers killed in the Oriire Local Government school abduction to two. Earlier reports confirmed that Mr. Oyedokun was beheaded by the kidnappers. Other abducted teachers have been rescued and returned to the state government. The rescued victims are receiving medical care and psychological support.
