Arkansas Inmate Allegedly Attacks Guards, Escapes With Officer’s Taser
Authorities in Arkansas are searching for Rodney Jermaine Smith, 41, who allegedly escaped from the Brinkley Police Department Jail in Monroe County on October 29. Officials said Smith attacked two department personnel, seized an officer’s Taser and fled on foot. He was later reportedly seen near railway tracks wearing a white T-shirt, yellow jail trousers and white socks, without shoes. Smith has tattoos on his neck and arms. He was being held on charges including firearms possession, drug possession and forgery. Authorities have not announced a reward for information leading to his recapture.
