Ogun APC Aspirant Hunye Challenges Suspension Claim and Zero-Vote Result

Ogun APC governorship aspirant Abayomi Semako Hunye has challenged claims that he was suspended before the party’s May 21 primary election. Hunye questioned why he was allowed to pay the ₦50 million nomination fee, obtain forms, undergo screening and take part in the primary if his suspension had taken effect in April. He asked the party to release documents supporting the suspension and records from the primary, including accreditation details and result sheets. He also denied claims that his court challenge is sponsored by PDP figure Ladi Adebutu or intended to work against Yewa’s interest. Hunye said his case seeks transparency and compliance with APC rules, not a personal dispute with the declared winner, Senator Solomon Adeola.
