IDF Says It Killed Hamas Operative Linked to Shani Louk Abduction
The Israeli military says it has killed Tamer Muhammad Ibrahim al-Sabbagh, a Hamas operative allegedly involved in the abduction and killing of German-Israeli hostage Shani Louk during the 7 October 2023 attack. Al-Sabbagh was among the men photographed with Louk after the Nova music festival attack, according to the Israeli authorities. The IDF said he was killed in an airstrike in Jabalia after allegedly planning further attacks and helping Hamas rebuild operations in northern Gaza. Louk was one of more than 360 people killed at the festival. Her remains were recovered in May 2024 and later buried by her family.
