Troops Report 21 Terrorists Killed as Boko Haram/ISWAP Camp Is Destroyed in Adamawa
Troops of Operation HADIN KAI, working with the Office of the National Security Adviser Tactical Team, say they killed more than 21 Boko Haram/ISWAP fighters during a raid near Kopre Mountain in Hong LGA, Adamawa State. The operation reportedly took place between August 26 and 27 after intelligence indicated that terrorists were operating from a camp in the rugged area. The military said some suspects escaped with gunshot wounds after two encounters with the joint force. According to the statement, the camp and its logistics facilities were dismantled. Troops also recovered AK-47 rifles, magazines and 7.62mm ammunition, while motorcycles, bicycles and fuel containers allegedly used by the group were destroyed. The operation is part of ongoing efforts to find people abducted from Mussa community in May and Lassa school children in June, as well as disrupt terrorist activities across the North-East.
