Nigerians Suffer Under Relentless Heat and Power Failures
I rarely leave home because of work, but today I braved the sun to buy food. Even inside my car with AC on, the heat was crushing. On the roadside I saw mothers, fathers, young and old struggling under baking temperatures without proper cooling. Nigeria is rich in oil, gas, minerals and fertile land, yet we still can’t use these resources to ease our pain. Shops run on solar fans that blow hot air, and many business owners shut down because the heat is unbearable without reliable electricity. We deserve 24/7 power and basic comfort. Our leaders tax our sweat without providing services. They ignore investments in education, infrastructure and long-term solutions. This neglect feels like a weapon against ordinary Nigerians, and until we demand real change, our daily suffering will continue.
